Synopsis:
In a small village in Khanpur, Hanifa, a childless woman, lives with her beloved donkey, Gulzar, who is both her companion and family. When the animal is brutally killed by Aslam, a young man whose lifelong humiliation has left him consumed by anger, Hanifa rejects compensation and demands justice before the village council.
As the case unfolds, a dispute over an animal’s death becomes a moral reckoning. Forced to confront their own prejudice and hypocrisy, the villagers must question the value they place on life, dignity, and compassion.
